The white flesh of the onion is succulent. Our Fresh Shallots are golden pink/red in color, an oblong shape, and have a papery outer skin. They have a sweet, mild flavor and when added to sauces, serve as a thickening agent. When selecting shallots, make sure they are dry, plump, and firm with no decay or sprouts. Most shallots have two or three clove-like sections.
